Hooch bottles

Just had to make these for our country wedding!!

Bridal party gift.

I love cutting vinyl on my silhouette. I made all of our bridal party gifts using wine glasses, plastic cups and beer mugs from the Dollar Tree and vinyl! Super cheap and super cute gifts!! See below.

I have several more pics but you get the idea!

Wedding sign madness!!

I've made several sign for our wedding using my silhouette and contact paper. There are two ways of painting the sign with the contact paper. I prefer using spray paint as well with either method but regular paint works too. For most of these signs I wanted to paint just the image not the entire sign. The wood is from the old church on the Blosser farm and is very beautiful! I did not want to cover it up. So I removed the lettering or image and painted that.

You can also so it the opposite way. Paint your sign the color you want your lettering or image, transfer the lettering or image onto your sign and then paint over it in another color. Remove the contact paper while the paint is a little wet to keep crisp lines.

Below are my signs!!!
The above is my 2nd favorite!!! The Irish blessing being the first!!

Below I used the paint first method. It can get rather difficult when doing multiple colors.  I don't recommend it but it works!

Blog crazy!!

So, maybe I'm late on getting this blog thing started but I'm loving it!!! I have so much to get posted! I hope to keep this up and get more followers! Thanks!!

Another ribbon flower how to

Ok, so this method isn't my favorite but it works when you don't have any good wired ribbon on hand. What you will need:

Scissors
Hot glue gun n glue
Ribbon (any kind)
Felt (or paper or anything to make a circle from that you can use hot glue on)

First I cut a free hand circle out of some left over felt I had from making the flowers for Kylie's flower girl dress. This will be however big you want your flower to be.

Next, you will cut your ribbon just like you would in my other tutorial.

For this I used a sheer ribbon that wasn't too stiff. Next you will start hot gluing! Be careful in this step to not burn yourself! I let the hot glue cool a lil before putting the ribbon on.

You will then begin working around the circle bunching the ribbon up, overlapping it to make it similar to the wired ribbon tutorial.

Just keep doing this. Don't worry if you didn't cut a long enough piece or its too long. You can always add more or cut off the excess!

This is how it will turn out. Adjust the petals how you want them and add some bling if you want too!

I made several different sizes for my wreaths.

Ribbon flowers how to

Ok so I've seen a few tutorials on how to make ribbon flowers and how I show you below is my favorite!! You will need the following:

Scissors
Wired ribbon that isn't really stiff
Hot glue gun and glue

First you want to cut yourself a decent strip of ribbon. I used anywhere from 2ft to 3ft for mine. It all depends on how big you want your flower but don't go too much smaller than 2ft. You need enough there to make the flower.

Next you will free hand scallops on the ribbon. When doing this you will be removing one side of wire making sure you keep the other side in tack as shown above.

It doesn't have to be perfect as you can see above. Flowers aren't perfect, that's what makes them so beautiful!

Next you are going to start to pull the wire out of one end of the ribbon and let it bunch up.

Tie this first end in a knot to keep the ribbon from sliding back. Then go the opposite end and pull the wire out of it. Keep bunching it up.

Let the ribbon curl up. I then used my thumb as something to wrap it around to make a form. I also used the end of my scissors for a few too. Play around with it and get it how you want it to look. I used some hot glue on the bottom to secure in place and voila!

You can leave the center as is or add some bling like I did. I felt like it just needed a lil something more. Perfect!!!

I made several different ones out of different ribbon for my wreaths. Next post will show you another method for making ribbon flowers.

More burlap!!!

I made three more burlap signs today! Using the freezer paper and spray paint. All for the wedding of course!!
